Renault is interested in conquering the budget car segment in Europe. The Dacia brand is largely responsible for such cars, which is busy developing a new car with a price of about 20,000 euros.

The company is working on the new 4th generation Dacia Sandero. An inexpensive car will receive an electric powertrain for the first time.

This option will be offered in the line in parallel with internal combustion engines.

The budget Dacia Sandero Electric will reportedly replace the Dacia Spring model in 2027. The new product will be built on the AmpR Small platform from Renault 4 and Renault 5.

The latter costs about 24,000 euros, but the Romanian electric car should be made even cheaper. At the same time, potential buyers should not expect modern fast charging and a large power reserve. This is because the company will focus on accessibility.
