The controversial Tesla Cybertruck electric pickup, which turned out to be an expensive car, was promised to be made cheap a few years ago. When the model was shown in production version, the price of the EV doubled. But now the manufacturer has introduced discounts.

According to Carscoops, the price of the Tesla Cybertruck in its cheapest version is now $77,360. It's still a pretty expensive car, but it's a lot less than the $100,000 the company decided to charge customers a few months after the production pickup debuted..

The $77,360 Tesla Cybertruck is a lightly used car with 1,500 km on the clock. This is a demo sample. Actually, the company sells just such copies. After all, the demand for the model has significantly decreased after the initial hype.

It was previously reported that after showing the concept several years ago, Tesla collected 2 million pre-orders. With the start of full-fledged sales, out of this huge number, only 30,000 buyers wanted to make a deal.

Despite promising a starting price of up to $40,000, the Tesla Cybertruck went on sale for $80,000. The company reported that it would add a simplified version to the line for 60,000 in 2025. However, it was canceled. And the most affordable pickup truck has now risen in price to $100,000.
